Ulrich Beck: Until some years ago I used to speak about globalization from within or internalized globalization, but then I switched to cosmopolitization (not cosmopolitanism). In order to explain what I mean by that, let’s just pick up a few examples.
The cosmopolitan manifesto by Ulrich Beck looks at the new political environment that has evolved as times have changed. Stating that old political practices are incompatible with the ever globalizing societies. Beck, refers to the current generation as the ‘me-first’ generation; that is very individualistic.

As for cosmopolitanism, I think there is a way of avoiding self-contradiction for Beck (which has been indicated by Habermas).
